Engage NYC 2014

JAD Events
  • Client Socialbakers
  • Date 23-10-2014

High profile invitation-only conference designed exclusively for social marketers, who are working at major brands and agencies. Designed for social marketers, by social marketers.

Socialbakers is company providing social media management services and deep data analytics for biggest brands on Earth. As such it needs to demonstrate insight authority in ever changing world of social media. This conference is a mean to show off that this is not only about the software and data, but also about brands and people using it. Participants exchange their experience and best practices.

Even though Socialbakers have offices all around the world, the base of operation is still in Prague, where they were founded. Whole event was prepared here with cooperation with our agency, and our biggest challenge was to fly the concept in Manhattan and execute it there in a timely fashion.

Social media conference is all about sharing information, so our part here was to build the best possible environment just for that. 10 speakers prepared real social marketing success stories, and our VJ pimped up their presentation decks with animations and sound effects to give them more spark. With so much content and more than 500 guests, there was little to no room for breaks – so our hostesses were serving drinks on roller skates, and even CEO, Jan Rezab, came on stage on heels. More than 1000 other guests joined us on live-edited stream in cinemas around the world. After 8 hours of presentations we let the guests to finally enjoy Manhattan at afterparty on Hotels Americano rooftop.

Entire event was defined by speed, delivery and digital experience. We found out that 95% of paying attendees evaluated the conference as a money well spent (100 respondents), and the overall perceived value exceeded the costs. The whole conference was prepared remotely overseas in Czech Republic, the event took place in ever so expensive Manhattan. Enormous legislative and union requirements, that have no parallel in Czech production, made the event a really tough proposition – with no room for error.
