Artinii was selected among TOP 5 innovative startups to present at Cannes NEXT 2020 at prestigious international film festival. The interactive showcase was the only event done live from a virtual studio and we were part of it.
The plan was to create something different that will attract a broad audience of film professionals – people who are used to high visual quality. It brought challenges that we wanted to conquer and stand out of the crowd of online conferences and discussion panels. Together with Artinii being a technological company, we took together this challenge to another level by creating a virtual event that corresponded with the company’s brand identity – young, new, technological but still connected to the film industry. The performance itself was very interactive, users were connected to the studio via multiple platforms such as slido, one on one discussions and could ask questions. Artinii was the only participant of Cannes festival that created an event of such quality.
Compared to expected results, the event was successful in most of the set criteria. The number of participants exceeded the expectations (500 viewers), the showcase had the biggest number of attendees in the Cannes NEXT program with over 1000 viewers. PR outputs included articles and interviews in the most relevant international media of the film industry worldwide such as Variety, Cineuropa, Prensario, Forbes etc. Artinii has also proven to establish its brand among film industry professionals by a new partnership with a big distribution company which represents one of the major studios. Apart from that, Artinii got connected with a lot of potential clients and partners after the showcases. They are currently in the process of communicating with a number of other smaller companies, acquiring new films to its database. The goal of 1000 films added to the catalogue by the end 2020 seems to be reachable.
